Research & Development On Crop Protection Chemicals

Image
With growing population, industrial practices and human intervention in the environment, the crop yield and its protection is increasingly important. Pesticides used for protection of crops have been criticized constantly because of their harmful effects on the environment. Crop Protection Chemical manufacturers in India and the world are striving hard to manufacture chemicals that are effective as well as environment-friendly. A significant focus is laid on research and development of these chemicals by the crop protection industry. It often happens that pests develop immunity against the pesticides owing to repeated exposure over a period of time. This makes it necessary for  Crop Protection Chemical manufacturers  to regularly come up with improved versions of their product. Pesticides are often classified into the following categories: 1. Herbicides These are used to inhibit the growth of weeds. Herbicides disturb the conducive conditions for reactions that are resp

7 Cost-Saving Methods for the Food Packaging Industry

Cost- Reduction Methods for the Food Packaging Industry 1. Switching from tape to glue for RSC packaging:  Glue can be used in place of tape to join the flaps of the cardboard in case of regular slotted containers (RSC). Using hot glue can reduce the size of end flaps and still provide effective packaging than using less corrugated cardboard. Since tape sealing has been in the industry for long, its initial cost is low for now as compared with the machinery required for glue sealing. If we consider the long term cost of this equipment, glue sealing costs less against tape sealing. 2. Changing from lap seal to fin seal:  Fin seal proves to be a cost effective overlap seal because in case of lap seal there are chances of product getting in between and they are usually used for joining two different materials such as OPP and LDPE. Whereas in fin seals materials of both the flaps are already the same. Less reworking is required if the seal fails, saving more material. Film thic

7 Challenges Facing By Pharmaceutical Packaging Industry

The pharmaceutical packaging industry, owing to the sensitive nature of products, also faces a lot of challenges. Poor packaging can cause chemical alterations in the product damaging their curative ability and ineffective performance. Thus, any pharmaceutical industry is subjected to stringent packaging standards and often face challenges like: 1. Safe Transportation of non-solid medication While pills and tablets are comparatively simpler to handle due to their ability to be stacked, liquid medication and injections, especially with glass packing are much more difficult to handle because of their fragile nature. To try and counter this problem, the  pharmaceutical packaging industry in India  is integrating innovative solutions like foam packaging and rotomolded cases to glass cases from breaking down. 2. Retaining medicinal quality of the products One of the major challenges that the industry faces is due to sustained exposure to heat as well a
